Writer, editor, and cultural critic Latria Graham hosts a workshop on how to pitch media outlets on Saturday, September 24th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Spartanburg County Public Library HQ.
This workshop explores the concept of taking local incidents—things that happen in your town, might be in the archives of your local library or are happening in your life—and placing them on larger national trends. Latria Graham will cover the basics of pitching/ terminology and what magazines and newspapers are looking for.
Latria is a journalist and social commentator whose work has been published in The Guardian, ESPN online, the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, Teen Vogue and elsewhere.
This workshop is sponsored by the Hub City Writers Project. It will be held from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm in the Upper Level Meeting Room in the Spartanburg County Library HQ.
