Since its beginning in 1952, SPARC, the Spartanburg Amateur Radio Club, has existed not for profit, but for fun, adventure, learning and service to the community. Each member has the opportunity to participate in a fascinating hobby that lets them communicate with other radio operators around the world, as well as associating with the group of hams here in Spartanburg.

Spartanburg Running Club is open to anyone interested in running. The SRC is a family-oriented, non-profit organization devoted to providing our members with the opportunity to meet and associate with others who are interested in running. Runners of all abilities are welcome, from beginner to the elite, competitive runner.
Publishes a newsletter twice a year, supports library activities, holds book sales, fund raising, sponsors yearly speakers, and supports children’s programs. Meets 3rd Tuesday, every other month.
Holds bi-monthly events and supports library activities.
This organization supports the Kidney Foundation, Children Shelter, New Day Clubhouse, Civitan Research Hospital for those with Developmental Disorders, South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind, Habitat for Humanity, Special Olympics, The Haven, Spartanburg Kidney Dialysis, Adopt-A-Highway, and numerous other agencies. Barbershop Harmony Chapter meets at 7:30PM on Thursdays at United Memorial Methodist Church
Currently we have 5 displays running which include O, HO, N, and G scales, a 1400 sq. ft. children’s play area featuring wooden toy trains, coloring tables, a basketball arcade, corn-hole game, etc., and a museum artifact room. Writers’ Night Out is an ongoing writers’ group open to anyone in the community. The goal of the group is to build a community of writers in the Upstate.

Altrusa of Spartanburg meets at noon on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month at the Palmetto Grill
Carolina FC (CFC) is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization which offers soccer instruction and competition for boys and girls, ages 5 –18. Established in 1981, the soccer club has grown and evolved as soccer has increased in popularity in the U.S. and South Carolina. CFC is affiliated with United States Youth Soccer through the South Carolina Youth Soccer Association.
Need help training your dog? Palmetto Obedience Training Club can help you do just that in our Canine Good Citizen, basic obedience and rally training classes. We are an AKC club, but our classes are open to all dogs, purebred or not. Serving the Spartanburg area, we also sponsor AKC Obedience and Rally trials and community educational events.
The Junior League of Spartanburg, as a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International Inc. (AJLI), is an organization for women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
