Writers’ Night Out is an ongoing writers’ group open to anyone in the community. The goal of the group is to build a community of writers in the Upstate.
Hub City Writer-In-Residence Casey Patrick will host the group at the Hub City Bookshop from 6-8 pm on the first Tuesday of each month. The next event is on February 3rd at 6:00 pm.
Please feel free to bring up to 5 pages of double spaced prose or poetry. We usually suggest bringing six copies to distribute. You can also email your work to Casey ([email protected]) and we will make copies for you in advance of the meeting.
The format is usually as follows: a discussion of writing and the writing life, a workshop and critique for those who brought work, and then a prompt to generate new writing.
