Daniel Cromer’s distinguished career as a fine artist spans most of his life. Beginning to draw at the age of four, Cromer’s work is immediately recognizable through medium and style. After living and working in New York and London as a commercial artist, Cromer returned to his roots in Spartanburg and devoted all of his time and talents to his fine art. Often working in situ, his landscape watercolors capture such places as the fish markets of New York, the rolling fields outside of Provence or rural towns outside of London, the Mediterranean coast and back to coastal South Carolina and downtown Spartanburg. This retrospective illustrates the depth of Cromer’s talents and his love for painting.
