Festifall at Walnut Grove Plantation October 4 – 5

Walnut Grove Plantation comes to life the first weekend in October as over 200 re-enactors, storytellers and artisans transform the 1765 homestead into a living colonial village.

The event features music, dancing, toy making, cooking, weaving, woodworking, candle dipping, and much more. Re-enactments of loyalist partisan William Cunningham’s deadly 1780 raid on the Plantation and 18th-century military demonstrations will take place both days and are not to be missed! Authors Sheila Ingle, Jack Parker, Kathy Cann and Mary Ann Solesbee will be on hand signing books for all ages, and Bubba’s BBQ will offer tasty victuals for those with a discerning palate. Don’t miss the biggest and best living history event in South Carolina!

John Moss, a re-enactor with South Carolina Independent Rangers, said Festifall continues to successfully provide the Upstate with historic experiences. “Support from our local communities is what really brings colonial times to life,” Moss said. “As a re-enactor, it brings me joy to interact with kids and their families every year.”
