Deadline Approaching for Community Grants from Chapman Cultural Center

The deadline to apply for a quarterly Community Grant from Chapman Cultural Center is this Friday, Aug. 22.

Spartanburg County-based non-profit organizations and professional artists in need of financial support for cultural projects can apply for grants generally ranging from $500 to $1,000. Eligible projects should actively engage the performing, visual, musical, literary, or folk arts and occur between October 1, 2014 and June 30, 2015.

For full details on eligibility and how to apply, choose “Community Grants” under “The Arts Partnership” tab on ChapmanCulturalCenter.org, then read the Quarterly Grant Program Guidelines ’14-’15 under “Links & Forms.”

Applicants must submit all completed forms by 5 p.m. on the deadline date to [email protected]. The time required to plan, implement, and complete the proposed activity must fall within the applicable period; programming that has already begun by the grant deadline will not be considered. Notification of award is usually made within three weeks of application deadline.

The Community Grant Program is supported in part by the South Carolina Arts Commission, which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts and the John and Susan Bennett Memorial Arts Fund of the Coastal Community Foundation of South Carolina.
