15-Year-Old Guitar Virtuoso to Open for Bruce Hornsby

Live on the Green announced that 15-year-old blues guitarist, Quinn Sullivan, will open the inaugural Live on the Green concert featuring Bruce Hornsby, solo piano.

The event will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2014, at Barnet Park in downtown Spartanburg.

Quinn Sullivan is quickly gaining quite a reputation among today’s most respected guitar players and musical artists. He has been touring the world with his mentor and friend, Buddy Guy, promoting his latest CD, “Getting There,” produced in Nashville with multi-Grammy winner Tom Hambridge. He has also performed at some of the world’s most prestigious festivals including Montreux Jazz, Austin City Limits, and Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival.

“We are very pleased to announce that Quinn Sullivan is committed as the opening act,” stated Ben Graves, member of the Live on the Green executive committee. “Quinn is undoubtedly one of the best blues guitarists of any age on the planet. His talent and repertoire will be the perfect complement to Bruce Hornsby’s performance.”
